RYA Powerboat LEVEL 2

The RYA Powerboat level 2 is an international qualification and is useful RYA endorsement can only be given to 16 years old and over.

Course Details

Boat basics, personal equipment, safety equipment.
Pre-start checks and use of kill-cord.
Basic boat handling, slow speed in forward and reverse, topping distances.
Picking up a mooring. Coming alongside.
Man overboard
Turning in own length.
Basic passage planning: Intro to chart, symbols and 1.
IRPCS
Emergency action and towing.

Powerboat Skipper – for Boat Owners

This course is conducted on the participants own boat. On completion the participant is qualified to Skipper a Motor Yacht up to 24m (80ft) and cruise the coast insight of land.

Prerequisites: Competent Crew or equivalent
Course Duration: 5 days
Price: 45,000 Baht

Powerboat Coastal – for Boat Owners

This course is conducted on the participants own boat. On completion the participant is qualified to Skipper overnight passages up to 60nm from the Coast.

Prerequisites: Powerboat Skipper + sea-time
Course Duration: 5 days
Price: 65,000 Baht

Powerboat Offshore – for Boat Owners

This course is conducted on the participants own boat. On completion the participant is qualified to Skipper voyages, seek adventure up to 150nm offshore

Prerequisites: Powerboat Coastal + more sea-time
Course Duration: 10 days
Price: 200,000 Baht
