Thailand enjoys a warm, tropical climate virtually year-round, making it a great destination in any season.
To help you plan your trip, Thailand's popular travel destinations can be broken down into four main weather regions: North Thailand, South Thailand (Andaman Coast), Southeast Thailand (Gulf Coast), and the North Coast / Upper Gulf.
Here is how the climate varies across the country:

Warmest Region (North Coast / Upper Gulf): Day temperatures peak between 33 °C and 34 °C (92 °F – 94 °F) from March to May, with mild overnight temperatures averaging 25 °C – 26 °C (77 °F – 79 °F).

Coolest Region (North Thailand): Cooler daytime highs range between 28 °C and 31 °C (83 °F – 87 °F) during the drier winter months of October through January.

Sunniest Region (North Thailand): Enjoys the clearest skies, averaging up to 9 hours of direct sunshine per day and 81% sunny days from January through April.

Warmest Sea Temperatures (South Thailand): Water temperatures peak around 30 °C (86 °F) between April and June, perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Humid / Tropical Rainfall Zones (South & Southeast Thailand): These coastal southern regions feature higher humidity and a greater likelihood of seasonal tropical rainfall depending on monsoon cycles.
