The Intermediate Skipper Course

International Skipper Certification
Plus VHF Radio Operator's Certification

This is a 6 day Intermediate Skipper Sailing course.  It is a certification for those candidates who wish to take command of a sail or power yacht of up to 78 feet / 24 metres, on your own.  It covers all the subjects required to prepare the boat, plan the passage, instruct the crew and command the vessel at sea.

The Bareboat syllabus separates theory and practical instruction and subjects covered in theory are then put into practice in the practical session on the SailQuest training yacht.

Obtaining this certificate through a Sailing School automatically qualifies candidates to apply for an ICC “International Certificate of Competency” which is required to charter a vessel in most European countries.

** For those Students that do not already hold a current Radio Operators Certificate we offer the option to obtain, at a reduced price of 6,000 Baht, the Compulsory VHF/SRC Radio Operators License during the course.

Prerequisites

Individuals must be physically fit and above 18 years old, have completed the 6 day Intermediate Crew Sailing Course and hold a VHF/SRC Radio Operators License (** see above)
