How to book a Bareboat Yacht Charter Escape with SailBreeze

Creating a unique bareboat yacht charter experience starts with you. On board, the possibilities are endless – all you have to do is realise them.

To book your SailBreeze Bareboat Charter in 5 simple steps: submit a request with your desired dates, pass the sailing competency check, pay a 50% deposit to confirm, settle the remaining balance 2 months before departure, and arrive at the base. Here are the steps:


1. Submit a Charter Request

Choose your desired destination and dates. Make a note of any preferred yacht type and any additional requirements you may have. We operate year-round from Phuket Yacht Haven Marina , as well as seasonally in Koh Chang (Oct–May) and Koh Samui (June–Sep). 

  • Send us your request directly through the our Contact Page or via WhatsApp to receive an exact price quote.  We will let you know what yachts are available (monohull and/or catamaran) with yacht photos and specifications, options and the charter cost of each yacht.


2. Verify Sailing Competence

Because you are chartering bareboat (without a hired skipper), you must prove your sailing experience.  We will request this information from you once you have decided on the yacht you wish to charter. This is for the insurance company to approve your qualifications. You may wish to hire one of our experienced skippers as an option too.

  • You will be required to submit a sailing resume.

  • You must hold an official certification to the level of Bareboat Skipper or higher (e.g., IYT, RYA, or ASA) or a recognized national boat license. 


3. Confirm the Booking

Once the itinerary and boat availability are locked in, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your reservation. 


4. Settle the Final Balance

The remaining 50% balance must be paid 2 months before your charter begins. Payment for extra optional amenities (such as a BBQ set, kayaks, or airport transfers) should also be arranged at this time. 


5. Board and Briefing

Upon arriving at the marina, you'll complete a thorough boat and area briefing before setting sail. 

  • Local Office: If you are located nearby in Chon Buri, our office is locally headquartered at Ocean Marina in Sattahip.

  • Charter Base: For Phuket departures, the main base is at Yacht Haven Marina, located about a 20-minute taxi ride from Phuket International Airport.
