YachtMaster Coastal - Sail
The 6-day IYT Coastal Yachtmaster certification is an internationally recognized recreational level of experience, knowledge and expertise which demonstrates competency of the person to take charge of the safety of a vessel and it’s passengers and crew.
This comprehensive liveaboard course includes a practical onboard exam, at the end of which the Yachtmaster is certified to take control of vessels up to 24m 60nm from shore in mild to moderate weather conditions.

Prerequisites:
25 days and 800 miles at sea including 2 days as watch leader/skipper.
12 hours underway on watch at night.
Minimum sea time must have been met prior to the final examination.

Yachtmaster Offshore – Sail
The IYT Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate allows you to take command of a vessel up to a maximum 24 metres, up to 150 nautical miles from the coast (day or night, any weather).

Prerequisites:
The Candidate should be 18 years of age or over
3000 nautical miles
50 days on board at sea(1 day = 24 hours)
30 hours on watch at night underway.
A physical/medical which must include eyesight and colour blindness check
VHF or Radio Operator Certificate
It is recommended also to hold STCW 2010 Basic Safety Certificates.
